Joseph Ling – Do you trust your mind? What the..for BA’s

There are two systems that you use your mind to think with. They operate at different speeds and look after different things. You need to use both to survive normal life and BA life.

However each has its strengths and liabilities such as shortcuts, heuristics and biases. While one system feels natural for Agile, it could lead to the wrong result.

We will look at the two systems, resulting short cuts, why we are so confident when we know so little, how decisions are afflicted. We will also look at such practical applications as how we protect ourselves from our minds doing the wrong things. At the end, you will know if you can trust your mind.
